Abstract:
Masking during e-coating is not only a time-consuming task, it’s also one of the most difficult to get correct. Not only do you have to seal out the paint, but you also have to take into consideration the high-temperature curing process! We’ve seen countless mistakes made over the years and e-coaters that never made the shift towards new masking technologies. In this presentation, we’ll cover the basics of masking for e-coat processes, how to avoid costly mistakes, and some of the more innovative masking projects we’ve developed over the years.
